An AI notetaker for Bullhorn records a candidate or client call, transcribes it, and writes a summary onto the right Bullhorn record so nobody retypes it. As of September 2026 you have three routes: Bullhorn's own Amplify Transcribe, a partner from the Bullhorn Marketplace or with a documented Bullhorn integration (CoRecruit, SourceWhale, Metaview, calling tools such as Aircall), or a standalone tool whose notes you paste in. The right choice depends mostly on whether your screens happen on scheduled video calls or on the phone.

Our buyer's guide for staffing agencies compares note-takers across every agency ATS. This page is narrower: only what works with Bullhorn, how each option gets a note into a record, what to test with your admin, and a note format you can use whichever route you pick. Every vendor fact links to the vendor's own page.

The three routes into a Bullhorn record

RouteHow the note gets inMain trade-off
Bullhorn's own Amplify skillsWritten by Bullhorn itself to the linked recordScheduled-call capture uses a bot; the bot-free option is in Early Access
Marketplace or integration partnerPartner writes to Bullhorn through its integration, often with field updatesAnother vendor, contract and admin setup; capture method varies widely
Standalone notetaker, no integrationYou paste the summary into a Bullhorn noteA minute of manual work per call; nothing updates fields automatically

"Integrates with Bullhorn" covers a wide range. At one end, a partner reads the call, finds the candidate, writes a formatted note with the right action type and updates fields such as desired salary. At the other, a link to a transcript lands in a text box. Ask every vendor to show the note arriving in a Bullhorn test record, not a slide.

Bullhorn's own option: Amplify Transcribe and Live Transcribe

Bullhorn announced Transcribe as one of four new Amplify skills at Engage 2026, according to its press release. Its knowledge base describes two capture modes, as of September 2026.

Amplify Transcribe (scheduled calls, bot)

  • Capture: connects to your Google or Microsoft calendar and joins scheduled calls on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet as a bot (Amplify Transcribe overview).
  • Output: a structured summary, a Q&A view and a full transcript, saved as a note on the relevant Bullhorn record, with an option to enrich the record with details from the call.
  • Admin settings: the configuration guide describes enabling it from the Labs tab in Amplify Admin, a display name for the bot, a waiting room timeout, an entry message for attendees and an optional audio disclosure for phone participants.

Amplify Live Transcribe (any audio on your computer, no bot)

  • Capture: audio through your computer's microphone and speakers. Bullhorn's page says it "doesn't require a bot or a calendar invite", which suits impromptu calls (Live Transcribe).
  • Status: described as Early Access, so check with your Bullhorn account manager whether your firm can use it.
  • Consent: the page tells you to make sure you have consent from all participants before starting.

Pricing and packaging for Transcribe were not published on the pages we checked. Ask how it is licensed, whether it is included in your Amplify agreement, and how usage is counted.

Suits you if you want one vendor, notes written by Bullhorn itself, and most calls are scheduled from a calendar. Think harder if a bot joining client-hosted interviews is a problem, or your desk lives on unscheduled phone calls and Live Transcribe is not yet available to you.

Partners that write notes into Bullhorn, compared

Setup effort differs. Metaview's guide says you need a Bullhorn admin with API account credentials from Bullhorn support, and that the integration can take up to 48 hours to complete. Budget a similar conversation with your admin for any partner.

Which kind of partner fits which desk

  • Phone-first contract or light industrial desks: a partner that captures phone calls, or a calling tool that logs and summarizes calls, will capture more of your screens than a video bot.
  • Permanent and executive desks with scheduled video interviews: a video notetaker (Transcribe, SourceWhale, Metaview) captures the calls that matter, provided a named participant is acceptable to candidates and clients.
  • Desks judged on submittal speed: look for a tool that drafts the write-up itself, not just a summary. CoRecruit's listing describes submittals; for the others, ask.

What to test with your Bullhorn admin

Run this with a test candidate and a colleague before any live candidate call. Record the result for each tool in the same sheet.

CheckPass looks likeResult
Record matchingNote lands on the existing candidate, not a new duplicate or the contact
Note action typeUses the action your reports count (for example "Prescreen" or "Interview")
AuthorShows the recruiter, not a generic API user
FormattingHeadings, line breaks and quotes survive
Field updatesSalary, availability and location update only when you approve, and never overwrite with a guess
Job and submission linkNote is associated with the right job order when the call was about one
Client callsIntake notes land on the client contact or company, not a candidate
DeletionAdmin can delete one candidate's transcript and note on request
LeaversA departing recruiter's notes stay with the agency

Field updates deserve the most care. A candidate who says "I'm on 85 but would move for 95" gives you two numbers, and a tool that writes the wrong one into Desired Salary creates a bad record quietly. Prefer a review step for compensation and notice period.

A Bullhorn note format you can copy

Whichever route you choose, agree one note format for the desk. It makes AI output easier to check and pasted notes easier to read. Use it as the template in your tool, or paste into a Bullhorn note by hand.

PRESCREEN – [Job title] – [Client] – [Date]

Concerns to probe: [ ]
Consent to record given: [Yes, at start of call]
Right to represent for [Client]: [Yes / No / Pending]
Next step: [submit / hold / reject] by [date]

The "Right to represent" line matters in Bullhorn shops where two recruiters work the same client. The candidate submittal template turns this note into what the client reads, and the screen-to-submittal workflow shows the timing.

  • Pick the notice method per capture mode. A bot can show an entry message; a desktop capture shows nothing, so the notice has to come from you. Bullhorn's Transcribe settings include both an entry message and an audio disclosure for phone participants.
  • Use one spoken consent line on every call. Bullhorn desks talk to candidates in many states in a morning. Our consent script and guide to calls across state lines cover the stricter rule.
  • Decide on client-hosted interviews. A bot waiting in a client's lobby is the client's call to admit. Ask the client first, or use a bot-free method.
  • Set a retention rule. Transcripts are more detailed than notes. Decide how long they stay, and who deletes them when a candidate asks.
  • Separate internal meetings. Calendar-based bots join everything unless you set rules. Check that pipeline meetings and 1:1s are excluded.

Standalone tools and copy-paste: when that is fine

Plenty of recruiters use a notetaker with no Bullhorn connection and paste the result. It is worth considering if you are a solo recruiter or a small desk, your firm has not approved another integration, or your security team prefers that transcripts do not sit in another vendor's cloud. The cost is roughly a minute per call and no automatic field updates.

Interview Signal is in this group: it has no Bullhorn integration. It is a desktop app with no bot, so phone and video screens are captured the same way, and it drafts the submittal in your template, ready to paste into a Bullhorn note or email, while transcripts stay on the recruiter's computer. If automatic Bullhorn write-back is a requirement, choose Amplify Transcribe or a partner above instead. General tools such as Otter and Fireflies also work this way; see Fireflies for recruiting.

Who each route suits

  • Amplify Transcribe: firms already invested in Amplify that want a single vendor and mostly scheduled video calls.
  • CoRecruit: agencies that want phone, video and WhatsApp capture without a visible bot, submittals and field updates, and accept a 12-month term.
  • SourceWhale Notetaker: teams already using SourceWhale for outreach who want meeting notes in the same platform.
  • Metaview: firms that schedule interviews in Bullhorn and want a free tier to trial, and that are comfortable with a participant joining video calls.
  • Aircall or Ringover: desks that want to change or add a phone system and get call summaries as part of it.
  • A standalone tool: solo recruiters, small desks and privacy-sensitive firms willing to paste notes.

Questions people ask

Does Bullhorn have its own AI notetaker?

Yes. As of September 2026, Bullhorn's knowledge base describes Amplify Transcribe, which joins scheduled Zoom, Teams and Meet calls as a bot and saves a note to the Bullhorn record, and Amplify Live Transcribe, in Early Access, which captures audio through your computer without a bot or calendar invite.

Which AI notetakers are listed on the Bullhorn Marketplace?

Among the listings we checked in September 2026 were CoRecruit, SourceWhale (whose listing describes its Notetaker), and calling tools Aircall and Ringover, which describe AI-summarized notes and conversation analysis. Metaview is not a marketplace listing we could find, but its own help center documents a Bullhorn integration.

Can an AI notetaker capture phone screens into Bullhorn?

Some can. CoRecruit's listing names phone calls and native VoIP, calling tools like Aircall log calls from Bullhorn, and Bullhorn's Live Transcribe captures any audio on your computer. Bot-based notetakers that join Zoom, Teams or Meet do not capture a call on your mobile phone.

What should I test before rolling a notetaker out on Bullhorn?

Run a real screen with a test candidate and check the record the note lands on, the note action type, the author, formatting, and whether any fields such as salary or availability were overwritten. Do this with your Bullhorn admin before any recruiter uses it on a live candidate.
