CoRecruit (formerly Quil) bundles four jobs for recruitment agencies: a built-in phone line, call capture without a visible bot, AI-written client submittals, and notes written into your ATS. The main alternatives replace some of those jobs, not all of them: Metaview for broad agency ATS coverage and a free tier, Recruiterflow's AIRA Notetaker if you run or would move to Recruiterflow, Carv for agency write-ups, Otter or Fireflies for low-cost transcripts, and bot-free desktop tools that capture phone screens on your computer. Start by naming which of the four jobs you actually need.

CoRecruit is the closest thing to a complete agency note-taking platform right now, so this page is fair to it first. Every vendor fact was checked on the vendor's own site as of September 2026 and is linked. For a broader buyer's guide that is not framed around CoRecruit, see AI note-takers for staffing agencies.

What CoRecruit does well

From CoRecruit's pricing page and homepage, as of September 2026:

  • Capture on every channel an agency uses. Cell phone calls, VoIP, Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and Webex, WhatsApp, FaceTime and in-person meetings, with what it calls botless note-taking, multi-language transcription, and pause and selective recording.
  • A phone line included. Unlimited US and Canada calling is included in every plan, with a $10 monthly international credit shared by the team; you can port existing numbers in or buy new ones from $10 a month.
  • Agency output. Candidate submittals, summaries and write-ups in your company's branding, resume parsing and reformatting, client follow-ups after meetings, and video snippets from interviews.
  • Agency ATS write-back. Direct syncs to 40+ systems, naming Bullhorn, Vincere, Loxo and Crelate.
  • Security. The homepage says CoRecruit is SOC 2 Type II certified.

If your desk lives on the phone, submits to clients daily and runs on Bullhorn or Vincere, that combination is hard to rebuild from separate tools. Keep that in mind while reading the rest.

Why agencies look for a CoRecruit alternative

  • The commitment. All published plans carry a 12-month minimum term. A new agency, or one testing AI notes on two desks, may not want to sign for a year.
  • Seat price for small teams. Starter is $85 per user per month billed monthly on the annual term, or $64 paid upfront. Lower rates start at 10 seats.
  • You already have a phone system. If your recruiters use RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Teams calling or their mobiles through an existing setup, part of what you pay for goes unused.
  • Your ATS already has AI notes. Some agency ATS vendors now build a note-taker in, and one fewer vendor has its own appeal.
  • Where the data lives. Some agencies, or their clients, prefer interview transcripts not to sit in another vendor's cloud.

A reason that usually does not apply: avoiding bots. CoRecruit already describes capture without a visible bot, so several alternatives below would be a step back on that point.

What each alternative replaces

This table maps each tool against CoRecruit's four jobs, as described on each vendor's own pages as of September 2026. "Not stated" means we did not find it, not that it is impossible.

Each alternative, and who it suits

Metaview

Metaview's integrations page lists more agency systems than anything else here, including Bullhorn, JobAdder, Loxo, Crelate, JobDiva, Recruit CRM, Recruiterflow and Thrive. Its Bullhorn guide describes capturing interviews scheduled in Bullhorn and posting notes with one click; setup needs a Bullhorn admin and API login details from Bullhorn support, and can take up to 48 hours. The Notetaker joins video calls as a bot and phone calls go through the Metaview switchboard (AI Notes FAQ). Pricing is Free with 25 calls a month or Pro at $60 per user per month (pricing). Suits: agencies whose interviews are scheduled video calls, and who want to start on a free plan before paying for seats. Less suited to: phone-first desks, and anyone replacing CoRecruit specifically to keep bots out of client-hosted calls.

Recruiterflow AIRA Notetaker

Recruiterflow is an ATS and CRM for agencies, and its AIRA Notetaker is built into it: it joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, writes transcripts and summaries, and links them to candidate and client profiles. Its pricing page shows the notetaker only in the AIRA plan, which is custom-priced. Suits: agencies already on Recruiterflow, or planning to move ATS anyway, who want notes and records in one system. Less suited to: agencies staying on Bullhorn, Vincere or JobAdder, and phone-first desks, since phone capture is not described on the notetaker page.

Carv

Carv's recruitment agencies page says you can invite it to virtual meetings or have it join certain meeting types automatically, that it can join phone screens, that it records face-to-face meetings with speaker diarization, and that it drafts candidate profiles and handles admin tasks. It references a Recruitment Pro plan and a Custom plan, but prices are not published on its site. Carv's site now leads with volume hiring as well as agencies. Suits: agencies that care most about polished candidate write-ups and are happy to go through a sales process. Less suited to: teams that want a published price or capture without a participant joining.

Otter.ai

Otter's desktop app for Mac and Windows says it records without a bot across Zoom, Google Meet, Slack Huddles and in-person conversations. Its pricing is Basic free with 300 minutes a month and a 30-minute cap per conversation, Pro at $16.99 a month ($8.33 billed yearly) with 1,200 minutes and a 90-minute cap, and Business at $30 a month ($19.99 billed yearly) with unlimited meetings. Suits: a solo recruiter or a two-person desk who mainly wants searchable transcripts at the lowest cost. Less suited to: anyone who relied on CoRecruit's submittals or ATS write-back; you will be copying and writing those yourself.

Fireflies.ai

Fireflies' pricing page lists recording through its Chrome extension without the Fireflies bot, but showed no prices when we checked. Its own pricing post dated July 10, 2026 gives Pro at $18 a seat per month ($10 annually), Business at $29 ($19 annually) and Enterprise at $39, annual only. Suits: agencies where the sales and delivery teams already use Fireflies for client meetings. Less suited to: phone-first screening and agency ATS write-back.

Interview Signal

A desktop app for Windows and macOS that captures the call on the recruiter's computer, so no bot joins and phone screens work through whatever calling setup already runs on that computer. It builds a question guide from the job description, writes the client submittal in your template about a minute after the call, and keeps transcripts and notes on the recruiter's computer rather than a vendor cloud (security). Pricing is Free for 20 minutes, Solo at $49 a month or $468 a year, and Team at $59 a seat, or $49 billed yearly, with a minimum of three seats (pricing). Suits: agencies that already have a phone system and want submittals and local storage without an annual platform contract. Less suited to: agencies that want notes written into Bullhorn automatically or a dialer included; CoRecruit does both and we do not.

The cost of switching, worked out

The seat price is rarely the biggest number when you leave a platform mid-term. Use this worksheet with your own contract. The example numbers are invented, apart from CoRecruit's published Starter rate.

LineHow to calculateExample: 8 recruiters, 5 months left
Remaining commitmentSeats × monthly rate × months left on the term8 × $85 × 5 = $3,400
Overlap with the new toolSeats in the pilot × new monthly rate × overlap months2 × $49 × 1 = $98
Phone numbersPort-out fees and any new numbers, from the vendorsAsk both vendors
Retraining timeRecruiters × hours × internal hourly cost8 × 1.5 h × $40 = $480
Submittal template rebuildHours to recreate branded templates in the new tool3 h × $40 = $120

In that example, the remaining commitment is several times larger than everything else combined. The practical conclusion for most agencies: pilot the alternative on one or two desks now, and switch everyone at renewal rather than paying for two platforms.

Replacing the phone line is the hard part

If your recruiters use CoRecruit's included VoIP, leaving is a telephony project as well as a software one. Candidates and clients have your numbers saved. Work through these before you give notice:

  1. List every number. Which numbers were ported in, which were bought through CoRecruit, and which recruiter each belongs to.
  2. Ask about porting out in writing. CoRecruit publishes that you can port numbers in; confirm how, and how long, porting out takes.
  3. Choose the new phone system first. Your note-taker has to capture calls on it. Test a real call on the new line with the new tool before moving any number.
  4. Check international calling. If desks relied on the shared international credit, price the replacement.
  5. Check WhatsApp and FaceTime use. If recruiters screen candidates on WhatsApp today, confirm the alternative captures those calls, or agree a new channel.

A migration checklist for leaving CoRecruit

  • Export interview history for open roles and active candidates before the term ends. Ask what format transcripts, recordings and submittals come out in.
  • Confirm what already lives in your ATS. Notes CoRecruit wrote into Bullhorn or Vincere stay there; anything only in CoRecruit does not.
  • Copy your submittal templates and client-specific formats into a shared document, so they can be rebuilt in the new tool. Our submittal template is a starting point.
  • Update candidate notices. Change the vendor name in your consent line, email signatures and privacy notice. The consent guide has wording.
  • Pilot on two desks for two weeks, one contract and one permanent, and time the screen-to-submittal workflow before and after.
  • Agree a data deletion date with CoRecruit once exports are confirmed, and get written confirmation.

When CoRecruit is still the right choice

Stay, or choose CoRecruit, if your recruiters want one product for calling, capture, submittals and ATS updates, if you run on Bullhorn, Vincere, Loxo or Crelate, if screens happen on WhatsApp or mobile as often as on video, and if a 12-month term matches how you buy software anyway. At 10 or 25 seats, its published per-seat rates also drop to $54 or $50 paid upfront, which narrows the price gap with lighter tools considerably.

Look elsewhere if you only need one of its four jobs, if you already pay for a phone system you are keeping, or if you want a monthly plan to test with before committing a whole desk.

Questions people ask

Is CoRecruit the same company as Quil?

Yes. CoRecruit's site shows the brand as formerly Quil, and its footer names SalesQ Technologies Inc doing business as CoRecruit, as of September 2026.

Can I pay for CoRecruit month to month?

Not on the published plans. CoRecruit's pricing page says all plans require a 12-month minimum term, billed either monthly on that annual term or paid annually upfront at a lower rate. There is a 7-day free trial before you commit.

Which CoRecruit alternative has a free plan?

Metaview's Notetaker has a free plan of 25 calls a month, Otter's Basic plan is free with 300 minutes a month and a 30-minute cap per conversation, and Interview Signal includes 20 free minutes with no card. None of these includes a built-in dialer the way CoRecruit does.

What happens to the phone numbers I ported into CoRecruit if I leave?

CoRecruit's pricing page says you can port existing numbers in, but we did not find its port-out process published. Ask CoRecruit in writing how and when numbers can be ported out before you give notice, so your candidates can still reach the same number.
